Make Your Own Custom Pendant Ornaments
using Crystals and Custom Ornament Hooks

I love purchasing from people who make beautiful things with their hands. There are many sellers of ornament hooks on ebay and Etsy whose work is just outstanding. . Just Hang On at Etsy and CorkyCat on eBay are my favorites for well-made, sturdy and beautiful ornament hooks. I wanted to make a set of customized Christmas ornaments for a sister/friend and decided to start with a set of custom hand made ornament hooks. She also decorates with turquoise at Christmas time and all through the year. Her color scheme is turquoise and silver - a tough combo to find any time of year, much less the holiday. 

I think it is nice to have different style of ornaments on a Christmas tree. Some round, some pendant type, some icicles, some figural makes the tree more interesting and visually appealing.

I had silver-plated ornament hooks made with turquoise and teal glass beads. Then, added them to glass chandelier crystals purchased years ago for a different purpose. I also used a few of the fancy Christmas ornament hooks that were custom made for the I Love Christmas site.

This was an easy project with beautiful results. If you are planning to give them as a gift, most Christmas tree decorators would appreciate a set of 6-12 ornaments made from metal ornament hooks and chandelier crystals. My sister/friend shared pics of the one she hung from her chandeliers, a ceiling light fixture, and on the tree. They would be equally beautiful hung on a garland festooning a flight of stairs or across a fireplace in your home.
